Board meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month @ 8:30 a.m.
at the SUBA Office (314 Rianda Street)

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month.

SUBA has formed five standing committees to work on
the association's initiatives, programs, actions, and special events projects.
Committees are essentially working groups that are comprised of
Board Members and may allow for the participation of
other community stakeholders.



Policy/Built Environment Committee

The P/BE Committee focuses on the public policies that regulate the use of land and influence development or redevelopment in the SUBA Business Improvement District
and Sunset Avenue Redevelopment Project Area.

  

The P/BE Committee meets every three weeks on
Friday @ 8:30 a.m. at the SUBA Office

Marketing & Promotions Committee

The work of the Marketing & Promotions Committee focuses on drawing positive attention to the more than 600 businesses that operate in the SUBA Business Improvement District.

The Marketing and Promotions Committee meets every three weeks on
Thursday @ 8:15 a.m. at the SUBA Office

Small Business Resources Committee

The Small Business Resources Committee will plan and implement projects and provide resources that are intended to help businesses grow stronger, prosper, and achieve overall success as responsible members of our business community. 

The Committee will meet monthly.

Special Events Committee

The Special Events Committee plans and implements public events such as the El Grito International Street Festival, the Business & Community Masquerade Mixer, and other large-scale family-oriented events that promote our business district and draw positive attention to the more than 600 businesses that operate in the SUBA Business Improvement District.

The Special Events Committee is currently meeting several times a month, to plan this year's El Grito International Street Festival.

The next meeting is on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 @ 8:00 a.m. at the SUBA Office.


Safety Committee

The work of the Safety Committee is focused on planning and implementing initiatives, programs, and special projects that seek to increase public safety and improve
the quality of life in our community.

The Safety Committee meets every three weeks on
Wednesday @ 8:30 a.m. at the SUBA Office.

SUBA often utilizes special committees and/or taskforces to address a
particular issue that either affects or has the potential to affect the businesses
and the business environment in the SUBA Business Improvement District.
